New Zealand is the land of Adventure. When we aren’t creating these spectacular wines for you, we are busy making the most of New Zealand’s outdoors. Our particular passion is Whitewater Kayaking and searching for the perfect waterfall. When we aren’t busy growing wine we spend our time getting wild - kayaking on some of New Zealand’s most outrageous rivers. Careening along fast-flowing currents, hitting the rapids and navigating serious boulders all fuel our adrenalin-thirsty minds and bodies and leave us exhilarated and wanting more. To immerse ourselves (literally at times!) in some of New Zealand’s most beautiful rivers while carrying out this unpredictable sport makes us feel truly alive. And in an activity that has taken us around the world, there is truly no place like New Zealand.
The concept for Waterfalls Road Wine was born around a campfire at the end of a hard day’s kayaking. We wanted to create a wine that would be enjoyed by people just like us. To craft a series of wines that are appreciated by those who enjoy the finer things in life, yet to have the spontaneity and joy for life that New Zealand’s outdoors bring. Our catch phrase become ‘When adventure and paradise combine, the creation is Waterfalls Road Sauvignon Blanc’
We believe that life is about passion. Living where we do, our surroundings provide daily inspiration for both work and play – we just want to get stuck in! ‘Life is for living’ as the old adage says – so live it to the fullest!
